Alright so after an hour and a half commute down to the Denver DTC I finally made it to starfest. After checking in with my department and finding out I wasn't needed this year I made way to get my badge. So I get to the registration area which cause of the weather it was packed with people who arrived early. After realizing that I forgot to print my ticket I asked where I should be and stood in line... For twenty minutes before finding out I was in the wrong damn line! What an incredibly busy week! between working on this site, NDK's and working on two other side projects I need more time! Or a clone of me so that I can get more done in the day. Now aside from those things I also have Starfest this weekend. Well at least I'll have the spare time to see the amazing guest list we we have this year.

For those not in the know I recently was in need of learning how to modify, administer, and build a website using Drupal 6. Which is a very powerful and feature rich CMS framework. The downside is that in trade for all that complexity the learning curve is more like a cliff face than anything. So I decided that I would migrate Shadowpedia away from my custom CMS to drupal to help with my learning.
I poked around and asked some friends who did professional Drupal development for some advise. The two books recommended. This one and Pro Drupal Development (2nd ed) which I will post a review about on a later date.Read More

Alright so I've made a little more progress with this site. I created new content types for my reviews adding more granularity to them which should make themselves more apparent in the upcoming days as content makes its way to the front page.
I've also made updates visually to the site putting some more finishing touches on my theme such as displaying the user, user picture, tags, and links to help with navigation.Read More

Well, after reviewing Hasbro's Monopoly I felt I should also provide a review for Hasbro's other latest release: Family Game Night.
This software was released for both the Wii and the X-Box 360. The difference being that with the Wii purchase you received all the 'classic' games Connect Four, Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, and Sorry! and on the X-Box 360 you got the game for free and had to purchase each classic game through the X-Box live system and some of them weren't available for download yet. Being the nostalgic board game geek I am I decided to pick up the latest Hasbro digital release of Monopoly for the Wii. I asked a my friends MinnieBee and GregHines to join me. Not having a fourth we decided to add an AI player.
Figuring that Monopoly was a classic with several digital versions across many, many platforms this should just be another simple adaptation brought to a new technology. Oh how wrong I was.Read More

Alright so I made a slight mistake with one of the modules I installed which really foo-bard my CMS installation. So I reinstalled everything omitted that module and now I'm rebuilding everything... oh what a joy.
